Meeting Minutes

April 9, 2018

Present:  Joe &  Dawn Humbertson, Dan Failacci, Traci Poppert, Dana Cummingham, Kathy Higinbotham, Kim Stevens, Alice Zalatoris, Theresa Anderson, Scott Lewis, Beth White, Kate & Erik Dudash, Nancy Voell, Gretchen Lord, Shari Nakamoto, Linda Runner, Trish Abell, Missy Carder, Mike Hillman
Call to Order
It began at 7:37 and was presided over by Joe Humberton, with Dan Failacci as secretary.

Approval of Previous Minutes:
March Booster Meeting minutes approved.  (Thanks Dawn for recording them in my absence)

President’s Report:  Executive Board met for April.  
  • Budget reviewed as always
  • Discussed open board positions for next year
  • Audit committee reviewed last year’s books and found them complete
  • Joe going to help create spreadsheet to track fundraising split (general/individual)
  • Upcoming events were reviewed
    • April 14 is musical, we are doing concessions (just need to get cash box and man table).  Volunteers were obtained from the mtg (thanks to those of you that stepped up)
    • April 24 is incoming freshman meeting.
    • April 25 is Banquet
    • Jazz Night 5/14 – 7:30pm
Vice President’s Report:  
  • None
  • Still collecting volunteer hours.  While I have gotten numbers from some people, I am still missing numbers from a lot of you.  Please, even if you have to guestimate, try to provide me with some numbers.  Attending booster meetings alone for the year is about 12 hours.
  • I finally got around to posting pics of the Disney parade on shutteryfly.  There are lots of other pics there as well, (password is in the email)  
  • For Jan:  ~$17.2k incoming, ~$7.6k outgoing
  • Received a check for $730 from Network For Good as a company match for someone’s volunteer hours
  • KIDA – Deposited ~12.2k + $620 from KIDA.  Approx. 4k in expenses, so net just over $8k.  That might be a record .
  • Need to renew the raffle permit.
  • See Dana for specific details.

  • No report
Student Accounts:
  • Emails went out to those with outstanding balances
  • Any student with outstanding balances can go to the banquet, but family cannot.

Here is the current ballot for next year.  Nominations are still being accepted and will remain open until voting commences at our Annual meeting in May

Kate Dudash will be stepping in as the new fundraising chairperson for next year.  Thank you Kate!
  • Yankee Candle due today.  Online orders can still be taken until end of the month.
  • Yard sale 4/28.  Will be at Linda Runner’s house (off Rosemont).  Can drop off on carport starting Wednesday 4/11.  Please pre-price
  • Hershey Park – did better than expected.  No final numbers yet.
  • Restaurant night – Tue Jun 12, 4-8pm Chipolte at Wormans Mill (near Wegmans).  Believe there is one in May at Chick Filet-A.  Should be an email reminder.
  • Jazz night – 5/19.  Sign up genius coming out. Looks like it will be a full program – including dance lessons.  Mike K to be the auctioneer.  Looking for donations.  Need help with setup/takedown and serving.  There will also be a silent cake auction.  Most of the local grocery stores have been contacted already.
  • Boy Scouts have officially given us the pumpkin patch hot dog concessions.
Uniform Report:
Teresa and Trish Abell to meet to finish the exchange of info for the uniform room

Pit Crew report:
In need of a new Pit Crew Boss for next year – Joe?.
